Survey QAQC Sub-Committee Meeting
Dear Survey QAQC SC Team,
We will meet on Wednesday October 2nd 2019 BMO Center, Burns room big 4 building, Calgary, Canada at 1 – 5pm
Thanks for the great effort made by everyone in the team to get to this stage. We are in the final proof reading stage, so please read and send me your feedback.
- First action for Wed 2nd Calgary meeting :
- Resolve any remaining edits for the three docs.
Next action in Calgary:
- Identify chapter titles and start to work on the Survey QAQC e-book content, MWD QAQC, Gyro QC and Depth QC are placeholders for chapter titles
Please have a think about other reference material and share your reference list before we meet.
Please get back to me ASAP if you see any big gaps or things we need to fix before passing to API for publishing.
Note recent meeting with Andy McGregor ISCWSA EM SC Chairperson minutes:
Andy McGreggor has provided suggestions from the EM SubCommittee about our Gyro and MWD QAQC Documents Current Edit 26SEP2019.
- Re-enforce that QC is directly linked to the EM being used.
- Emphasise that the ISCWSA or OWSG EM may not match the QAQC being done and / or the QAQC results and action is needed to manage this
- Emphasise that user may need to add EM names and terms to match the field uncertainty of the actual survey
- Make clear that the ISCWSA or OWSG EM may not cover all applications and corrections and QAQC outcomes
- Suggestion is for EM SC to publish different field uncertainties, give an example for each parameter
- publish the vendor algorithms how they calculate each field uncertainty
