The hotel is situated in Glasgow's West End, at the start of what Time Out voted "The third Coolest Street in the World" in 2022.

It is within walking distance to many free world class museums, parks, and to the 4th oldest University in the English speaking world, where great scholars such as Lord Kelvin, James Watt, Adam Smith, James Black, Joseph Lister, John Logie Baird, and many more, worked and studied. (Not least of whom are several members of the ISCWSA leadership)

There are also many great food options close by, including the Shish Mahal, where Chicken Tikka Masala was invented.

The West End of Glasgow also makes a great base to explore further afield in Scotland, whether history, golf, hillwalks, lochs and mountains, or to see where and how Scotlands most famous liquid export is distilled.
