Proposal:
Establish a permanent sub-section with responsibility for the stewardship of the ISCWSA error models. Sub-section to be responsible for:
- Management of the models.
- Expanding and maintaining the area within the SPE WPTS web site that describes the model. (Concern over access to the web site.)
Management of the models might include:
- Assessment of corrections, changes and additions to the model proposed by – anyone!
- Decision on when a revision of the model is required.
- Assignment of revision numbers.
Expansion of the error model area of the web site might include:
- Disclaimer.
- Overview of scope, purpose and limitations of the error models.
- Information that facilitates the correct implementation of the models in software. This might be additional information not in the SPE papers, implementation tips, full test results from zero to TD.
- The history of the models (archive of earlier revisions)
- A log of suggestions proffered to, but not adopted by, the sub-section, including details of who, when, what, why.
- As above, but for logging the disagreement of TS members with the adopted terms or other features of the models. Most cases of dissatisfaction with the published model would be accommodated adequately by the previous item. This log only needed for instances of strongly felt dissent.
